iPod???

The central pod might find its way back into the design, with a drop-down cockpit floor. Since it's a foam sandwich it should only add around 80kg to the structure.

Just some more hull partitioning work, simple. 4 generous bunks, basic galley and loo, 2 access hatches per hull.

Different

I've been pondering about the stuff people want to cram into a hull, sacrifice hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, hull height, weight, building hours you name it. When the weather is nice and warm you just don't go below decks, when the weather isn't nice you want to stay/sleep near the helm, also you want to be able to get out of the bunk super quickly. I'm trying to find a way to keep the hulls as clean as possible and draw up some alternative accomodations. We'll see.

Project is slowly moving forward. New hull design is easier and faster to build compared to the previous designs, also involves less foam wastage. Going to continue to work on the interior layout of the hulls, to make them as practical as possible.

I've been working on the hulls again. And will be working on them even more. I was disatisfied with the entry points in the hulls, need a safer entry point for the fore cabins as well. I'll probably ditch the central pod, uselless weight in the stay rig configuration.

New central pod si now part of the rig support structure, made from developable foam panels, 'stitched' and glued. The new pod is also the support for the centerboard, side loads taken by side stays to the hulls.
